Who we are
Rein is a pre-launch project, run by its founder and based in the United States. In this notice, “Rein”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of this website. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and its waitlist.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist. We also record the date and time you joined and which page you joined from.
- Anything you send us, if you email us, along with your email address.
Information collected automatically
- When you submit the waitlist form, our server briefly uses your IP address to prevent abuse, such as automated sign-ups. It is held in memory for no more than ten minutes and is never saved to our database.
- Our hosting provider processes standard technical information, such as IP addresses, browser type and request times, to deliver the website and keep it secure.
What we don’t collect
This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or third-party trackers. Its fonts, images and scripts are all served from our own server, so visiting the site doesn’t send your information to anyone else. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
- To send you updates about Rein, such as launch news, early-access invitations and occasional product news.
- To reply to messages and requests you send us.
- To protect the website and waitlist from abuse, fraud and security threats.
- To comply with the law.
We won’t use your email address for anything unrelated to Rein without asking you first.
How we share it
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only in these limited cases:
- Service providers. Our website and waitlist are hosted by Fly.io in the United States, which stores and processes data on our behalf. If we start using an email delivery service to send updates, it will receive your email address only so it can send our messages, and we will update this notice.
- Legal reasons. If required by law, or where needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Rein, our users or others.
- Business changes. If Rein becomes a company, or is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, the waitlist may be transferred as part of that. It will remain covered by this notice.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while the waitlist is active, until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If we decide not to launch Rein, we will delete the waitlist. When you ask us to delete your information, we do so within 30 days.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time, using the link in any email we send or by contacting us.
- Access, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing privacy@reincard.io.
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other US states with privacy laws, you may have rights to know what personal information we hold, get a copy of it, correct it, delete it, and opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising. We don’t sell or share personal information or use it for targeted advertising, but you can still make any of these requests.
We will respond within 30 days, or within the longer period your state’s law allows. We may need to confirm your identity, usually by asking you to reply from the email address on the waitlist. You can use an authorized agent to make a request. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. We won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Because we don’t track you across websites, there is nothing to opt out of. We honor Global Privacy Control signals regardless.
If you’re outside the US
Your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you’re in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on your consent to add you to the waitlist and send you updates, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure. You have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
The website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to the waitlist is limited to Rein’s operator and protected by secret credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
Rein is intended for adults. This website isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also let people on the waitlist know by email before it takes effect.
